I am searching for information on my Morton line. The most recent Morton that I can document as being in Maine is Seth Soule Morton who was born 1838 in Maine and died 1905 in Iowa. His father was Allen Morton, born 1800 and died 1840. Next is George Morton, born 1775 and died 1842. George's father was Bryant Morton who was born bet 1742 and 1743 in Falmouth, Cumberland, Maine and died 1805. He was married to Love Frost. After this Bryant there come several Bryants until we eventually get to Sir Thomas Morton, born 1458. As most Morton's do, family tradition says we descend from Robert the Count of Mortaine. Robert was the half brother to William the Conqueror. I am searching for documentation and the line between Sir Thomas Morton and Robert. I also need document.

Thank you for your help,
