I am VP of the Nat'l Assn of Leavitt Families and a genealogist for 25 years. We are updating our published Leavitt books, in standard Register format this time. We are also verifying all info first. I am copying literally every Leavitt VR in Maine, and would like to act as a free clearinghouse of Leavitt Family info in Maine. Your family info as well as your questions are most welcome. Thanks.

My Taylor family has had a member with the family name of Leavitt(often a middle name) as far back as anyone can remember. Is it possible that Taylors and Leavitts in Maine married within the last 5 generations?
