I am seeking information on Albert Bray Taylor, who was the secretary/treasurer of the Dardanelles Amalgamated Mines, Inc. in Arizona. he was involved in Banking in Maine at that time.
Info I received from Portland (Maine) Public Library:
Taylor and his wife, Annie L. Goldthwaite, were married in Bangor on 17 Sept. 1885, by Rev. A. S. Ladd. The records, published in Marriage Returns of Penobscot County, Maine, Prior to 1892 (Camden, Me.: Picton Press, 1994), page 198. Bride and groom were cited as "both of Bangor."
Taylor and his wife were last cited in the Portland City Directory of 1933. I checked through 1938, and they did not reappear.

Vital records of Bangor, Maine, Vol I. An entry on page 331 reads as follows: "Albert Bray Taylor; adult; baptized Apr. 29, 1877. [The 1880 Bangor census, page 260D, lists a Albert B. age 18 the son of Ann M. age 54 a widow

I would appreciate any info about him. I have recently acquired a photo of him.
Trish

Hi Bryan,

I thought your Taylor might have been one of mine, but he isn't. However, I did take a quick look-up on NEHGR and found the obituary of your Joshua Taylor in the July, 1861 issue of the Register, pgs 285 & 286. If NEGHR is not available to you, send me your address (donamary@yahoo.com) and I will mail the pages to you. I'm not very good at CP&L with my computer.

Joshua Taylor was born Mar. 20, 1768, Princeton, N.J., s/o Lawrence and Amy (Potts)Taylor. His first wife, m. June, 1806, was Dolly Smith, the 10th child of Capt. Daniel Smith. She died 1807 leaving one son, David S. Taylor. His second wife, Oct., 1808, was Mrs. Hannah Delano. With her he had three children, Dolly, Barzillai and George Edward. His first wife is mentioned in the Smith genealogy, also in NEHGR, although it only recognizes her husband as "Joshua Taylor, a methodist Minister".

There is more so let me know if you'd like it.

Donna Ulrich
