Those who left Maine

My great grandfather James Nelson Gilman b. 1836 Farmington/New Sharon was in the Gold Country of California in 1863. Returned to Farmington/New Sharon and moved to South Dakota in 1884. You can do the same on Ancestry with the 1870 and some other census years. The first source is free, the second is not.
