I am looking for the father-in-law to Isaac Jordan Woodward, he married a Rebecca Damon, her folks were Seth Damon & Margaret Douglass they lived in Maine for awhile and then moved to WI. He is found in records in Rutland, Dane Co. WI she In Sparta, Monroe co. WI and she is buried there. Seth Damon and his family lived in Albion where Rebecca was born in 1805 and later in Sebec where her younger siblings were born. Seth was the son of Israel and Zervia (Wattles) and grandson of Israel and Sarah (Merritt) with lines back to Scituate, Massachusetts. Margaret was the daughter of William and Eunice (Bry) Douglass with lines back to Topsham, Maine. Seth and his wife are likely buried in or about Sparta. |

I am researching my WOODARD'S in Springfield(Penobscot),Me. The only names I know for sure are Benjamin H. Woodard born @ 1820 Springfield,Me. who married Elizabeth DOUGLASS. born @ 1826 Springfield,Me. They had a son James M. Woodard born 16 Dec. 1849, Springfield,Me and died 2 Oct. Colville,(Stevens)Wa.who married Sophia J.Parshall born 4 June 1861 in Mich. and died 15 Sept 1925 in Walla Walla,Wa.. They had a daughter Eva L. Woodard born 14 Oct.1888 in Kent Co. Mich. and died 5 July 1949 in Spokane,Wa. She married Robert L. Mitchell born 8 Jan 1882? Athens, Ohio and died 7 Feb. 1964. They had first daughter Stella in 1907 Mich. then Faunie Belle 9 April 1909 in Osceola Co. then moved to Stevens Co. Wa. where they had Hazel in Alladin, and Rubie and Carl in Colville (also Stevens Co.) I am wondering if the Margaret Douglass posted by Heidi L. Jursa may be one of my Elizabeth Douglass family? Thank you for this opportunity! |
