In 1825 Jonathan T. Clifford was noted at one of the first settlers of Amity (No.10). A recorded deed shows him formally of No. 4 south and adjoining Springfield. The 1850 census shows Martha (born in Vermont) as his wife. They had a daughter Sally who married Aser Tracy Jr. and a son George C. Clifford who died on December 2, 1837 at the age of 17 years. Jonathan died March 17, 1867 at the age of 85.
Does anyone have any other information on this man?

I have an Agnes Clifford who married Thomas Dyer sometime before 1870. Their children were: Mary Jane, John, Frank, James, and Rose. Does this match anything in your files?
