hello all,
i'm english and have been tracing my family name now for 3 years or more and very intrested in the name Nibloe which is my surname it comes from scottish roots maybe even irish.
i have found ancestors in dumfries in the 1800's and then england from 1840's onwards mainly norfolk & suffolk in the victorian railways boom mostly my ansestors were stationmasters at various places in these areas.
i have seen some children may have moved to usa or canada some records of nibloes have shown up.
if any one has any ideas or info would be very grateful.

regards Simon Nibloe

hello there,
I am from Glasgow, Scotland and have always had an interest in my name and it's origins.
Only in the last week did I invite a computer into my life. And what nice surprises I have found! Did you know that in Texas, US there is a place called Niblock? Neither did I!
Anyway my grandfather, and many other relatives come from the Isle of Whithorn in Dumfries and Galloway. Some of my ancestors had moved to nearby Liverpool 1881 cencus, a Fredrick Niblock b in 1843 in Whithorn or neighbouring Kirkinner.
I would be grateful if anyone could shed any more light on this name. Apparantly originated in Warwickshire, then moved onto north west Ireland.
regards Elinor E Niblock

Hi, my name is Sonia Nibloe and I am originally from England but now live in Australia. I also have family in Norfolk and Suffolk. I believe that my great grandfather was also involved in the railways, but will have to find out more from my father regarding this.
