I am writing an article on spruce gum boxes and would like to know if anyone has info re John Curtis who founded a spruce gum commercial enterprise in Portland in 1848. It apparently grew to 200 employees. |

There is a John B. Curtis Free Library in Bradford, Maine. THe librarian is Muriel Parker. The libraary is open, I believe, on Saturdays. John B. Curtis came from that area, I believe, and gave the town the library. Sandra Olsson |
