Solomon YORK and wife, Lucinda (WEBBER) died after the 1850 Census, where they appeared in Hermon, Penobscot, ME and before 1855 when their orphaned children showed up in Illinois. Family lore says they were perhaps Baptist missionaries killed by the Indians. Does anyone have access to cemeteries in the Hermon area where they might be buried? Solomon was born 1813 in New Hampshire.
