Hi! I am doing some family research and have some census records that are providing some interesting information. One record has my great grandfather at 21 years old attending school and living in the town of Readfield, Kents Hill, Kennebec County, Maine. It looks like he is living or around a lot of other young college age adults. Does anyone know where he might be going to college or some other type of trade school in 1870. 1870 census Kennebec, Readfield, page 3 of 38. Any info would be helpful. Thanks, Don Marston Jr in Maryland |

Kents Hill Seminary, is an esteemed private High School located at the top of Kents Hill, Route 17, Readfield, Kennebec County, Maine. This is a school established by Methodists and I believe it has been in existence since the 1800's. This school has also served as a Prep School. It is geared to college bound academic students. I expect they have their own website. |
