Search the Library Catalog

The Brown Research Library holdings are searchable through MHS' online public access catalog, Minerva. This includes general history and Maine history books (town, school and church histories, vital records, etc), genealogies, rare books, journals, manuscript collections, maps, pamphlets, original newspapers, broadsides and ephemera. While photographic collections appear in Minerva, item level photographs are best researched through the MHS museum collections & photograph database. Architectural and engineering drawing collections also appear in Minerva, but for specific commissions, please submit a query through the Ask a Librarian form.
